Popcaan is clarifying a controversial statement he made about Vybz Kartel in a recent interview.

Earlier this month, the Unruly Dominate did an interview with Seani B on BBC 1 Xtra radio where he said that 99% of dancehall hates him. He ended the interview hinting that he thinks that Vybz Kartel hates him too. The disk has been dealing with a fallout from the Gaza camp following a roughshod diss track from Shawn Storm titled "No Frauds."

On Wednesday a rep for the Unruly camp told Dancehall Hip Hop that Popcaan is making it clear that he didn't say that Vybz Kartel hates him, simply rather if he hates him. "The media is running with a story that Popcaan say that Vybz Kartel hates him but that is non true," the deejay's rep told us. "Poppy told the interviewer that 'if Vybz Kartel hates me.' And so in no manner did he said that 'I think Vybz Kartel hates me.'"

Popcaan did in fact told Seani B that if Vybz Kartel hates him he will forever exist on elevation but then he didn't stick around to clarify his statement. "Since I've been effectually Vybz Kartel similar a lot of people use to hate Vybz Kartel but he stayed on height and I learn that from him," Popcaan explains. "That is why if Vybz Kartel detest Popcaan today I will forever be on peak because I larn that from him."

The "Stray Dog" deejay also recently said that he has a lot of respect for Vybz Kartel regardless of his fallout with the Gaza campsite.
